The Glass House is a psychological thriller released in 2001. The movie follows the story of Ruby and Rhett, who are left orphaned after their parents die in a car accident. Their parents' best friends, Erin and Terry Glass, become their legal guardians and offer the children a luxurious life in their upscale Malibu home.
At first, the children are thrilled to be living in the mansion, complete with a pool, tennis court, and fancy cars. However, as time passes, Ruby becomes suspicious about the Glasses' true intentions. She discovers that Erin and Terry are not who they appear to be and that they have a hidden agenda.
Ruby also finds out that the Glasses have a dark secret involving their past, money laundering, and murder. The children become increasingly trapped and controlled by the Glasses, and their attempts to escape lead to dangerous consequences.
The Glass House stars young actors Leelee Sobieski and Trevor Morgan as Ruby and Rhett. Diane Lane and Stellan Skarsgård play the sinister Glasses. The movie received mixed reviews from critics but was noted for its stylish cinematography and intense plot.
