The General's Daughter is a 1999 American crime film directed by Simon West and starring John Travolta, Madeleine Stowe, and James Cromwell. The film is based on the novel by Nelson DeMille.
The film follows the investigation of the murder of Army Capt. Elizabeth Campbell (Leslie Stefanson) at a Georgia military base. The investigation is led by Warrant Officers Paul Brenner (John Travolta) and Sara Sunhill (Madeleine Stowe), who discover that Campbell was a sexually promiscuous woman with a troubled past.
