The Front Line is a 2011 South Korean war film directed by Jang Hoon and starring Shin Ha-kyun, Go Soo, and Kang Ha-neul. It is set during the Korean War and depicts the final battle for a strategic hill between South Korean and North Korean forces, just days before the signing of the armistice.

The film centers around the character Kang Eun-pyo, a South Korean army lieutenant who is sent to the front line to investigate rumors of a possible ceasefire violation. He arrives at the front line to find that both sides are engaged in a brutal battle for control of the hill, with ownership switching multiple times each day.

Kang reunites with his former friend Kim Soo-hyeok, who has become a hardened soldier and is leading a group of soldiers on the front line. Kang soon finds himself drawn into the chaos of the battlefield, fighting alongside his comrades to hold the hill and prevent the enemy from gaining control.

As the ceasefire approaches, tensions mount and both sides become increasingly ruthless. The film depicts the harsh realities of war, including the toll it takes on soldiers and civilians alike. The final battle for the hill is a brutal, bloody affair, with both sides fighting to the last man in an effort to claim victory.

The Front Line was well-received by audiences and critics alike, with particular praise given to its portrayal of the psychological effects of war. It was nominated for a number of awards, including Best Picture at the 32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards.
