Seth Brundle is a brilliant and eccentric scientist who is working on a revolutionary teleportation device. After successfully teleporting inanimate objects, he decides to test it on himself.
However, during the event, a common housefly enters the device with him, and their molecules become fused together. At first, Seth is euphoric, experiencing heightened senses and physical abilities.
