As the prisoners and their guards attempt to escape from the flooded prison, they stumble upon a secret government facility where genetic experiments are being conducted on alligators. The alligators have been mutated to become bigger and stronger, to the point where they are now uncontrollable.
As the group tries to find a way out, they realize that they are being hunted by the mutated alligators who have now broken free from their containment. With limited weapons and resources, they must fight for their survival against the monstrous creatures and each other.
Meanwhile, a group of scientists who had been monitoring the experiment from a safe distance, must take responsibility for their actions and try to save the survivors before it's too late. The Flood becomes a race against time as the group tries to outsmart and evade the alligators to reach safety, but not everyone will make it out alive.
