Drama,Fantasy,Science Fiction  United States of America

The Five People You Meet In Heaven is a 2004 made-for-television movie, adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Mitch Albom. The film stars Jon Voight as Eddie, alongside Ellen Burstyn, Jeff Daniels, and Michael Imperioli.

The movie begins with Eddie going about his daily routine at Ruby Pier amusement park, where he has worked for 35 years. He is a gruff but kind-hearted man, who has never quite found the meaning in his life. On his 83rd birthday, while working on a ride, Eddie sees a young girl in danger and tries to save her, resulting in his own death.

Eddie then wakes up in the afterlife, where he discovers that he is in a sort of waiting area, where he will meet five people who will help him understand the purpose and meaning of his life. The people he meets are unexpected, and he learns how his actions, both big and small, have affected those around him throughout his life.

The five people Eddie meets are Ruby (Burstyn), his former boss at Ruby Pier; Marguerite (Dagmara Domińczyk), his late wife; a stranger he saved during the war (Daniels); his father (Steven Grayhm); and a little girl named Tala (Nicaela Weigel), who died on the ride at Ruby Pier that Eddie was trying to fix when he died.

Through each encounter, Eddie comes to realize the importance of his existence, as well as the interconnectedness of all beings. He also learns to forgive himself for past mistakes and to let go of regret.

The movie is a touching and thought-provoking exploration of life, death, and the significance of our actions on the world around us. It serves as a powerful reminder to cherish the time we have and to make every moment count.
