The Field Guide to Evil is a horror anthology film consisting of eight segments, each based on a different folktale or myth from different parts of the world. The film explores the origins of horror and how stories were created to explain the inexplicable and to give meaning to our deepest fears.

The first segment, "The Sinful Women of Hollfall" is set in Austria and focuses on a group of women accused of witchcraft and punished for their sins. The second segment, "Haunted by Al Karisi," is set in Turkey and tells the story of a mother haunted by a demon who wants to take her child. The third segment, "The Kindler and the Virgin," is set in Germany and focuses on a man who sets fires and a woman who is determined to stop him.

The fourth segment, "A Nocturnal Breath," takes place in India and features a young bride who discovers a horrifying secret about her new husband. The fifth segment, "The Melon Heads," is set in the United States and tells the story of a group of orphans who were experimented upon by a mad scientist. The sixth segment, "What Ever Happened to Panagas the Pagan?," is set in Greece and explores the mythology of the god Pan.

The seventh segment, "Palace of Horrors," is set in Hungary and follows a group of tourists who visit a haunted villa. The final segment, "The Cobbler's Lot," takes place in Poland and tells the story of a cobbler who is given a dark gift that changes his life forever.

All of the segments feature unique visuals and are directed by different filmmakers from around the world, including Can Evrenol, Ashim Ahluwalia, and Veronika Franz. The Field Guide to Evil offers audiences an immersive and terrifying journey through some of the most unsettling myths and legends from different cultures.
