The Fearless Vampire Killers (also known as Dance of the Vampires) is a 1967 horror-comedy film directed by Roman Polanski. The story takes place in a remote village in Transylvania, where a noted professor named Abronsius (played by Jack MacGowran) and his bumbling assistant Alfred (played by Roman Polanski himself) arrive to research vampires. They soon find themselves caught up in a world of undead creatures, including the seductive Count von Krolock (played by Ferdy Mayne) and his vampire bride Magda (played by Irena Kwiatkowska).

The two hapless heroes attempt to save the life of Sarah (played by Sharon Tate), a young woman who has been kidnapped by the vampires. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and comedic mishaps, including a skiing chase down the slopes of the vampire's castle.

The film is noted for its blending of horror and comedy, as well as its stylish visuals and atmospheric score by composer Krzysztof Komeda. It is also known for its tragic association with Sharon Tate, who was murdered by the Manson family two years after the film's release. Despite this, The Fearless Vampire Killers has remained a cult classic and a beloved entry in the horror-comedy genre.
