The Fast Lady is a 1962 British comedy film directed by Ken Annakin. The film stars Stanley Baxter as Murdoch Troon, a Scottish civil servant who falls in love with Claire, played by Julie Christie. In order to win Sir James' approval, Murdoch decides to learn how to drive a Bentley, Sir James' favorite car.

Despite this, Murdoch is determined to learn and impress Sir James. Along the way, Murdoch and Claire get into various comical situations that threaten to ruin their relationship.

As Murdoch becomes more confident behind the wheel, he enters a prestigious car race in an attempt to win Sir James' approval. The race is filled with challenges and obstacles, as Murdoch races against skilled drivers in high-performance cars. In the end, Murdoch not only wins the race but also wins over Sir James and Claire's heart.
