The disappearance of Angela and Katherine in the woods leaves Victor Fielding both relieved and disturbed when they return without any memory of what happened to them. As days pass, Angela starts displaying strange behavior and Victor fears that she may have fallen victim to some supernatural forces. He seeks out Chris MacNeil, who he learns, had gone through a similar experience and discovered a way to fight evil spirits.
Chris reluctantly agrees to help Victor as she is still reeling from the traumatic past and tries to keep her distance from anything remotely related to exorcism. But as Angela's behavior escalates, Chris realizes that her case is not just another possession, but something far more sinister and powerful.
