The Evil Inside Her follows the story of Vikki (played by Melissa Kunnap), a young woman who is struggling with her own inner demons. She is haunted by the memories of her deceased mother and the trauma she suffered at the hands of an abusive father. Clayton (played by Eric Roberts), a charismatic and calculating man, spots Vikki's vulnerability and begins to manipulate her. He drugs her and introduces her to his twisted worldview, claiming that he is on a mission to cleanse the world of those who are different.
As Vikki's psychosis worsens, Clayton's hold on her tightens, and he encourages her to commit heinous acts of violence against anyone they encounter. This includes her own friends, who had planned a weekend getaway in the North Carolina wilderness.
