In The Equalizer 2, Robert McCall (played by Denzel Washington) continues to work as a Lyft driver by day and a vigilante by night. He is still haunted by the loss of his wife and driven to help those who are unable to help themselves.
When Susan Plummer (Melissa Leo), a former colleague and close friend of McCall, is brutally murdered while investigating a case in Brussels, he sets out on a mission to find all those involved and make them pay for their crimes.
Along the way, he reconnects with Sam Rubinstein (Orson Bean), an elderly Holocaust survivor whom he had helped in the past. He also forms a bond with Miles Whittaker (Ashton Sanders), a troubled teenager whom he mentors and tries to steer away from the gang life.
As McCall’s investigation takes him from Brussels to Istanbul and eventually to Boston, he faces off against dangerous individuals who will stop at nothing to protect their criminal enterprises.
