Nick inherits an old toy shop from his grandfather and decides to reopen it for the upcoming Christmas season. As he's cleaning up the shop, he finds an ancient chest containing a creepy elf doll. Shortly after, he starts experiencing vivid night terrors related to a murder he witnessed as a child, which he believes are triggered by the doll's presence.
As Nick starts to investigate the origins of the elf doll, he uncovers a disturbing legend: the elf was created by an evil sorcerer who used it as a conduit to release his wrath upon unsuspecting families during the Christmas season. According to the legend, whoever unleashes the elf from the chest and recites the naughty list of names will become possessed by the sorcerer and carry out his homicidal plans.
Nick soon discovers that the names on the list are his own family members, and realizes that the curse has been passed down through generations. As the mysterious occurrences escalate, Nick's paranoia grows and he becomes convinced that the elf is somehow responsible for the violent deaths of various people around town.
In a race against time, Nick enlists the help of a paranormal investigator to break the curse and stop the evil sorcerer from carrying out his deadly scheme. However, as Christmas draws near and the elf's power grows stronger, Nick realizes that he may have to confront his own demons and face the consequences of his past if he wants to save his family and protect his town from the evil that lurks within the elf.
