In addition to Eda and Tonda, the film follows a group of classmates as they navigate their way through the militant and sometimes abusive teaching methods of Igor Hnidzo. While Hnidzo is initially successful in enforcing discipline in the classroom, his personal flaws begin to impact his ability to effectively teach and lead the students.
One of the most prominent themes explored in the film is the contrast between childhood innocence and the harsh realities of the adult world.
