The Eagle Has Landed is a 1976 World War II drama film based on the novel by Jack Higgins. The film follows Nazi Colonel Kurt Steiner (played by Michael Caine) as he leads a commando team into England to kidnap Winston Churchill with the help of an IRA sympathizer (played by Donald Sutherland).
