The movie follows the story of 12-year-old orphaned half-Korean girl, Scout, who relocates to a small town in America to live with her uncle, who she barely knows. Struggling to navigate her new life in a foreign land, Scout finds solace in golf, a sport she had learned from her late father. But with nobody to guide her, she finds it hard to make any progress.

One day while practicing at a golf course, Scout meets a local optometrist, John, who is also an accomplished golfer. Despite initially being dismissive of her, John eventually takes an interest in Scout's game and decides to mentor her.

As they train together, John and Scout begin to bond over their shared love for golf and their similar experiences of loss and grief. But as their friendship deepens, John reveals that he has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, leaving only three months to live. With little time left, John and Scout embark on a journey to not only improve their game but to also confront their fear and learn to let go of their loved ones.

Throughout the film, Scout and John's story is interwoven with that of a pair of birds, a bald eagle and an albatross, who are also on a journey of their own. The birds' journey serves as a metaphor for Scout and John's emotional and physical journey as they learn to overcome their struggles and find hope amid despair.

The Eagle and the Albatross is a heartwarming story of friendship, grief, and the power of sport to heal and bring people together.
