The Djinn tells the story of a young mute boy named Dylan Jacobs who is living alone with his father in a rundown apartment complex. Dylan is struggling to come to terms with the death of his mother and feels trapped in his isolated world without a voice. One day, Dylan discovers an old book hidden in his apartment that promises to grant the reader's heart's greatest desire if they make a wish and complete a series of difficult tasks.
Dylan's desire is simple; he wishes to have a voice so he can communicate with the outside world. However, when he makes the wish, a sinister Djinn is unleashed from the pages of the book and begins to terrorize him. The Djinn is a malevolent entity that will stop at nothing to keep Dylan from completing his tasks, including killing anyone who stands in its way.
Trapped in his apartment with no way to escape, Dylan must use his wits and intelligence to outwit the Djinn and complete his tasks before it's too late. Along the way, Dylan learns about the power of dreams and the importance of facing one's fears.
