The Devil to Pay is a 2020 thriller movie directed by Lane Skye and Ruckus Skye. The film follows the story of a woman named Lemon, played by Danielle Deadwyler, who lives in an isolated Appalachian community with her husband and son. Her husband suddenly disappears, leaving her struggling to keep her family together and their farm afloat.
To make matters worse, the cold-hearted matriarch of the oldest family on the mountain, Ms. Henny, played by Catherine Dyer, demands payment of a debt owed by Lemon's husband. This debt has kept a fragile peace between the two families for over a decade, and failure to pay could result in a violent confrontation.
As Lemon tries to figure out how to come up with the money to pay the debt and keep her son safe, she discovers long-buried secrets about her husband's past and the true nature of the truce between the two families. With time running out, Lemon must make difficult choices to save her family and protect their way of life.
