The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a 2008 American romantic fantasy film directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, and Taraji P. Henson. The movie is loosely based on the 1922 short story of the same name by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Benjamin Button is born as an elderly man with the physical appearance of a 70-year-old and suffering from arthritis, hair loss, and cataracts. His biological father abandons him at a nursing home, where he is raised by Queenie, an African American caregiver.
As Benjamin grows up, he begins to look younger and has the physique of a teenager. He meets Daisy, a young girl, and they form a deep connection despite their age difference. As Benjamin continues to grow younger and more physically capable, Daisy ages, eventually becoming an old woman. Eventually, Benjamin is reduced to the physical appearance of an infant and dies in Daisy's arms.
