The Crush is a 1993 psychological thriller directed by Alan Shapiro and stars Alicia Silverstone, Cary Elwes, and Jennifer Rubin. The story revolves around Nick Eliot (Cary Elwes), a young journalist who moves into a guest house on the property of a wealthy family. He soon meets his landlady's daughter, 14-year-old Adrian Forrester (Alicia Silverstone), and becomes the object of her infatuation.

Adrian is an intelligent and manipulative teenager who becomes determined to win Nick's affections, going as far as attempting to sabotage his relationship with his girlfriend, Amy (Jennifer Rubin).
