The Crow: Salvation is the third film in The Crow film franchise and was released in 2000. The film begins with Alex Corvis (Eric Mabius), a wrongfully executed man who is brought back to life by a crow to seek revenge on those who betrayed him. As he sets out on his mission, he meets Erin Randall (Kirsten Dunst), a teenage girl who is being targeted by the same corrupt cops who framed Alex for the murder of his girlfriend, Lauren.
With the help of Erin and his supernatural abilities as The Crow, Alex begins to hunt down the corrupt officers responsible for his wrongful conviction and Lauren's murder. Along the way, he must also confront the guilt and pain that he feels about not being able to save Lauren when she was alive.
The film features intense action sequences and a soundtrack featuring bands such as Filter, Hole, and Kid Rock. It is also notable for being the film debut of David Boreanaz, who plays one of the corrupt cops.
While not as commercially successful as the original film in the franchise, The Crow: Salvation is widely considered to be a solid addition to the series and a faithful adaptation of the comic book source material.
