Collision Course: Revenge and Redemption

Drama,Thriller  United States of America

Freddy Gale is a former advertising executive and an alcoholic who has been consumed by his anger and desire for revenge since his daughter Emily was killed six years ago by John Booth, a drunken driver who fled the scene of the accident. Booth, who has just been released from prison after serving his sentence, has struggled with guilt and remorse over the years and is now trying to turn his life around.

Gale visits Booth at his workplace and makes his intent to kill him known. A shaken Booth seeks the help of his new girlfriend, Jojo, and his friend and sponsor, the wise and compassionate swinger, Bobby, who tries to convince Gale to let go of his hatred and find a way to heal his pain.

As the deadline approaches, Gale becomes increasingly unstable and erratic, alienating his ex-wife, Mary, and his friend, Stuart, a sympathetic cop who is torn between his loyalty to Gale and his duty to stop him. Meanwhile, Booth has a heartfelt conversation with Jojo and realizes that he can't run from his past or his responsibility for Emily's death.

In the climax, Gale confronts Booth in a deserted street and after a tense exchange, he pulls out a gun. Booth pleads with Gale to let go of his anger and forgive him, but Gale is consumed by his desire for revenge. In a moment of recklessness, Gale makes a fatal mistake and the two men are forever changed by the consequences of their actions.
