The Cosmos Sisters follows the story of two childhood friends, Lena and Elle, who were part of a girl band called "The Cosmos Sisters" during their teenage years. However, after graduating high school, they went their separate ways and lost touch for a few years.
Now, in their late 20s, Lena and Elle unexpectedly run into each other in their hometown while grocery shopping. They reminisce about old times and decide to get the band back together.
The two friends begin their journey to reassemble the band by reaching out to their former bandmates and scheduling a reunion audition. They quickly realize that it's not going to be as simple as they thought.
Each former bandmate has different priorities and obligations that they need to tend to, causing tension among the group. Plus, they are all dealing with various personal issues that make it tough for them to devote time to the band.
As they navigate through their differences and work towards rebuilding their music career, the two friends also navigate their complicated personal lives, with Lena dealing with heartbreak and Elle struggling with accepting a new job opportunity that will take her away from the band.
With the help of their new manager, a charismatic music producer named Ricky, and the support of their families and community, they begin to regain the magic of old times and prove to themselves and the world that their music is worth bringing back to life.
