The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes is a family comedy film directed by Robert Butler and released in 1969. It stars Kurt Russell as Dexter Riley, a college student who accidentally gains extraordinary intelligence after being electrocuted while trying to fix a computer donated to the college by a wealthy businessman, A. J. Arno (played by Cesar Romero).
As a result of his newfound intelligence, Dexter becomes a genius with a perfect photographic memory, able to remember everything he reads or hears. This makes him an instant success in college, impressing his peers and professors alike. However, when he accidentally uncovers Arno's illegal activities while looking through the computer's memory, he becomes a target of Arno's criminals, who want to silence him.
Dexter and his friends must use their newly acquired intellectual abilities to outsmart Arno's goons and expose his criminal activities to the authorities. Along the way, they encounter several comic mishaps and funny situations, including a comical car chase scene.
