The Chaplin Revue is a compilation film made up of three of Charlie Chaplin's silent comedies, including "A Dog's Life" (1918), "Shoulder Arms" (1918), and "The Pilgrim" (1923). The film was released in 1959 and was produced by Chaplin himself.

In "A Dog's Life," Chaplin portrays a tramp who befriends a stray dog and together they struggle to survive in the city. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and get into humorous misadventures.

In "Shoulder Arms," Chaplin plays a soldier in World War I who goes through basic training before being sent to the front lines. Through comedic circumstances, he ends up capturing an enemy trench single-handedly and becomes a hero.

In "The Pilgrim," Chaplin plays an escaped convict who disguises himself as a minister and finds himself in a small town where he must navigate various moral dilemmas. The film ends with a memorable train chase sequence.

In The Chaplin Revue, the three films are strung together with new music, narration, and some new connecting material. The film also includes a new introduction by Chaplin, who gives his perspective on his legacy in film history. The film's release was very well received and helped to cement Chaplin's reputation as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time.
