The Cell 2 is a 2009 horror thriller film directed by Tim Iacofano and written by Lawrence Silverstein. It stars Tessie Santiago as Maya Casteneda, a psychic investigator who has the ability to enter the minds of criminals to aid in their capture. Chris Bruno plays her partner, FBI Agent Harris.

The Cusp Killer is a notorious serial killer who has evaded capture for years. He has a unique modus operandi, where he uses a special drug that puts his victims in a state of suspended animation, allowing him to kill them over and over again without actually taking their lives. He brings them back to life repeatedly until they are driven insane and beg for death.

Maya is called in to help when the Cusp Killer resurfaces with a new victim. She agrees to enter his mind and try to find the location where he is keeping the victim. However, unlike her previous experiences, Maya is forced to do this without any form of protection, risking getting trapped in the killer's mind forever.

As Maya delves deeper into the Cusp Killer's mind, she discovers the dark and twisted world he inhabits, filled with sadistic games and torturous experiments. With time running out, Maya must use all her psychic abilities to find the victim and evade the Cusp Killer's relentless attacks on her mind.

The Cell 2 has been criticized for not living up to the original film's standard and for its low production value. However, Tessie Santiago's performance as Maya has been praised as the highlight of the movie.
