Western,Family,Adventure,Comedy  United States of America

In The Castaway Cowboy, the wayward cowboy named Lincoln Costain (played by James Garner) finds himself stranded in Hawaii after a wild night out. He is taken in by a young Hawaiian boy named Kalua, who lives with his mother Henrietta MacAvoy (played by Vera Miles) and grandfather Kilohana (played by Eric Shea).

As Lincoln starts to work for the family, he discovers that their pineapple farm has fallen on hard times due to competition from bigger companies. He uses his cowboy skills to help the family modernize their farm and increase their production. Additionally, he becomes a father figure to Kalua and develops feelings for Henrietta.

However, their romance is complicated by the arrival of Henrietta's former fiancé Clarke (played by Robert Culp), who has come to Hawaii to try and win her back. Lincoln must navigate his feelings for Henrietta while trying to save the family's business from Clarke's scheming.

As the plot unfolds, Lincoln becomes more entrenched in the community, making friends with the locals and even participating in a traditional Hawaiian rodeo. But as he starts to feel at home on the island, he must decide whether to stay with the family or return to his old life.

The Castaway Cowboy is a heartwarming family film that explores themes of community, family, and redemption with a touch of romance thrown in for good measure.
