The Card Player is a psychological thriller directed by Dario Argento. It follows policewoman Anna Mari, who is challenged by a mysterious serial killer known as the "card player." The killer taunts her by taking hostages and forcing her to engage in high-stakes poker games over the internet. If Anna Mari loses, the killer murders the hostages in gruesome detail, which is broadcasted live via webcam.
