The Bygone follows the story of Kevin, a young rancher who falls in love with a Lakota girl named Kaya. The two come from different worlds and face cultural differences and prejudice from their communities. When Kaya suddenly disappears, Kevin sets out to find her, starting a dangerous journey that takes him into the heart of the reservation and forces him to confront the harsh realities of life for indigenous people in America.
Along the way, Kevin meets a man named John, who introduces him to the underground world of trafficking in Native American women. As Kevin digs deeper into Kaya's disappearance, he realizes that she may have fallen victim to this sinister industry.
The Bygone explores themes of cultural identity, prejudice, and human trafficking, and sheds light on the harsh realities faced by indigenous communities in America.
