The Butcher's Wife is a fantasy romantic comedy film that was released in 1991. Demi Moore plays Marina, a clairvoyant woman from a small fishing village in North Carolina who dreams of a mystery man and believes that he is her future husband. After marrying him, she moves with him to his butcher shop in New York City, where she is able to use her psychic abilities to help the people around her.

As soon as Marina arrives in New York, she begins to experience strange visions and premonitions, which she believes are signs from the universe. She quickly learns that her powers have the ability to influence and change the course of others' lives, including her husband's customers. Marina begins to offer advice to those who visit the butcher shop, which ultimately helps them find happiness and love.

Marina's husband Leo, played by George Dzundza, is initially skeptical of her powers, but soon begins to embrace them as he sees the positive impact they have on their customers. However, their happy life together is threatened when Marina's former fiancé arrives in New York in search of her. Marina has to choose between her past and current life, and the decision she makes could change everything.

The movie was directed by Terry Hughes and written by Marjorie Schwartz and Ezra Litwak. It received mixed reviews from critics and audiences, but was praised for its performances, particularly Moore's. Despite its lukewarm reception, The Butcher's Wife remains a cult classic and a favorite of fans of romantic comedies and supernatural-themed movies.
