The Bride, also known as Nevesta, is a Russian horror film released in 2017. The movie directed by Svyatoslav Podgayevsky stars Victoria Agalakova and Vyacheslav Chepurchenko in lead roles.

The film opens as Ivan and Nastya, a couple in love, marry each other. Soon after, Ivan takes Nastya to his family's remote estate, where he lived as a child. Nastya is not comfortable with the idea of meeting Ivan's family in a strange setting, but she agrees.

However, upon arrival at the estate, Nastya notices that there is something wrong. Ivan's family is weird, and she is never left alone. Without warning, Ivan disappears, leaving Nastya alone with his family. Nastya discovers old family photos that show her in the same dress as all of Ivan's relatives, except that all of these people are deceased.

It quickly becomes clear that the family is preparing for a traditional Russian wedding ceremony, which is centuries-old and shrouded in mystery and superstition. Nastya becomes increasingly anxious and suspicious, especially as she is fascinated by the supernatural and the occult.

As the ceremony progresses, Nastya finds it harder and harder to keep her sanity, and she becomes increasingly convinced that she will never leave the estate alive. The Bride culminates into a film where Nastya must struggle to stay alive in the face of unspeakable horror.

In summary, The Bride is a film that explores themes of the supernatural, witchcraft, and the occult, all while immersing viewers in the ancient traditions of Russian folklore. The film is light on gore, but heavy on psychological terror, as Nastya struggles to understand the truth behind the wedding ceremony and her husband's family's secrets.
