The Boonies follows a group of friends who embark on a camping trip in the remote Appalachian woods. However, their relaxing getaway turns into a fight for survival when they unknowingly stumble upon a deranged clan of cannibals who have been hiding out in the woods for generations.
As the friends try to navigate their way back to civilization, they are relentlessly pursued by the cannibals, who use their knowledge of the terrain and hunting skills to their advantage. The group must band together and use their own survival skills to outwit and outrun the cannibals, all while trying to cling to their own sanity as they witness the horrors that the clan is capable of.
