The Boogens is a horror movie that was released in 1981. The story is set in a small mining community called Silver City, where a group of miners are tasked with reopening an old mine that was closed 70 years ago. While exploring the underground tunnels of the mine, they accidentally release a group of unknown creatures that were trapped inside.
The creatures, labeled as "Boogens," are small and reptilian, with razor-sharp claws and teeth. They are vicious and kill anyone who enters their underground lair. The town's residents start to become suspicious when miners begin disappearing, and strange markings are found in the tunnels.
A group of young adults, including two miners and a female journalist, team up to investigate the strange occurrences. They discover that the Boogens have been living underground for years, and their discovery has awoken them from their slumber. The group tries to warn the town's residents, but they are skeptical and do not believe them. The Boogens start to attack the town's residents, and chaos ensues.
The group heads back to the mine to try and stop the Boogens once and for all. They manage to trap the creatures in an underground shaft, but one manages to escape and attacks a group of workers. In the end, the remaining Boogen is destroyed, and the town is left to pick up the pieces from the horrific events.
