Simon Brenner is a former police detective who now works as a repo man, taking back cars from people who cannot make their payments. Tired of the stress and danger of his job, he decides to quit and take a vacation in the Austrian Alps. He finds a cozy pension run by an eccentric family and settles in for a relaxing stay.
However, Brenner's peace is short-lived when he is approached by a wealthy businessman named Horvath, who offers him a job finding a missing person. Horvath's daughter has disappeared and he believes she has been kidnapped. Brenner is skeptical, but the promise of a large fee convinces him to take the case.
As Brenner begins to investigate, he uncovers a complicated web of lies and secrets in the supposedly quiet town. He meets a cast of eccentric characters, including the pension owners, their strange daughter, a beautiful but mysterious escort, and a group of shady businessmen. Brenner must navigate the treacherous terrain of this small town to find the missing girl and solve the case.
As he delves deeper into the investigation, Brenner discovers that the situation is far more complicated than he ever imagined. The missing girl is only the tip of the iceberg, and Brenner realizes that he has stumbled upon a ring of organized crime involving drugs, prostitution, and corruption in high places. In order to survive and solve the case, he must use all his detective skills and wits to outwit the dangerous criminals and protect the innocent.
