As he searches for a way to escape, Finney discovers a disconnected phone on the wall of the basement. Despite the fact that the phone is not connected to any network, it begins to ring and Finney answers. To his surprise, he can hear the voices of the killer's previous victims, who are also trapped in the basement.

The previous victims, who have been waiting for someone else to answer the phone, introduce themselves to Finney and share their experiences with him. Together, they plot to outsmart the killer and escape before he can claim another victim. The group also uncovers clues to the killer's identity and urges Finney to use his intelligence to help them solve the mystery.

Throughout the movie, Finney is tested both mentally and physically as he tries to survive in the dangerous and unpredictable environment. The Black Phone features a mix of suspense, horror, and thriller elements that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
