The main character of the film, Donny (played by Donald Sumpter), is a former soldier who has become disillusioned by civilian life. He decides to embark on a life of crime and assembles a gang of petty criminals to carry out his plans.
Their biggest score comes when they kidnap a teenage heiress named Caroline (Debbie Farrington), daughter of a wealthy businessman named Sir Harcourt Courtley (Derek Godfrey). Despite the efforts of the police, led by Detective Inspector Larch (Bernard Archard), Donny manages to evade capture and takes Caroline to an abandoned farmhouse in the countryside.
As the kidnappers attempt to negotiate a ransom with Sir Harcourt, Donny begins to develop a disturbing relationship with Caroline. He becomes obsessed with her, which causes tension among the other members of the gang. Meanwhile, Sir Harcourt refuses to pay the ransom, leading Donny to take drastic measures to get what he wants.
The film builds to a tense and violent climax as the police close in on the kidnappers and Donny's true motivations are revealed.
