The Beautiful Person

Drama,Comedy  France

Junie (played by Léa Seydoux) is a 16-year-old girl who has just lost her mother. She moves to a new school where she catches the eye of every guy in her class. Junie is reserved and keeps to herself most of the time, which only adds to her allure. She begins a relationship with Otto (played by Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet) who is sweet and caring, but she is soon captivated by her Italian language teacher, Nemours (played by Louis Garrel).

Nemours is a young and attractive teacher who is also drawn to Junie. Despite their age difference and the fact that he is her teacher, they start a secret relationship. However, Nemours is not the only one interested in Junie; her classmate, Abel (played by Simon Truxillo), is also obsessed with her. He becomes jealous of her relationship with Nemours and starts to harass her.

The relationship between Junie and Nemours becomes increasingly complicated as they try to keep it a secret. Junie is torn between two men who both love her, but in different ways. As her relationship with Nemours becomes more passionate, she begins to question whether it is worth the risks and consequences. The consequences of their actions come to a head during a school trip to Italy, where everything finally comes to a head.

The film is beautifully shot and features strong performances from the cast, especially Seydoux and Garrel. It is a poignant and thought-provoking film that will stay with viewers long after the credits roll.
