The Battle: Roar to Victory is a historical action film set during the Japanese rule of Korea in 1920. The main character, Hae-chul, is a member of the Korean Independence Army who is tasked with delivering funds to the Korean Provisional Government in Shanghai. During this mission, he is reunited with Jang-ha, a young squad commander who is tasked with defending Samdunja, a small village in the Korean countryside.
Together, Hae-chul and Jang-ha successfully trap a group of Japanese soldiers in Samdunja and launch a surprise attack, defeating them soundly. However, their success comes at a cost - they are now being chased by Japanese troops who are determined to eliminate them.
As they try to evade their pursuers, Hae-chul learns that Jang-ha's mission is not yet complete. He has been assigned a crucial and dangerous task that could determine the fate of the Korean independence movement. With little time to spare, Hae-chul and Jang-ha must continue their battle against the Japanese forces, fighting both for their own survival and for the freedom of their country.
