The movie follows Galia, a former Russian sniper who is forced to work as an assassin for a local sex-trafficking organization. She lives a lonely and isolated life in her rundown apartment, yearning for her daughter who is still in Russia. Galia's latest target is a woman, but she cannot bring herself to go through with the hit and becomes a target herself.
Eleanor, Galia's neighbor, is a grocery store cashier who is trapped in an abusive marriage. She dreams of winning the lottery and escaping her husband's brutality. One day, she discovers that she's pregnant and decides to leave her husband. However, she soon realizes that leaving him is not as easy as she thought.
As Galia and Eleanor's paths cross, they find solace in each other's company and begin to plan their escape from their oppressive situations. Galia teaches Eleanor self-defense and the two women start to take control of their lives. However, their plans are complicated when Galia's former employers catch up with her and Eleanor's husband becomes violent again.
The film is a powerful and suspenseful story of two women who are determined to break free from their oppressive lives. The performances by the lead actresses, Olga Kurylenko and Ninette Tayeb, are exceptional, and the film explores themes of female empowerment, friendship, and survival.
