The Answer Man is a romantic comedy-drama film directed by John Hindman and released in 2009. The story revolves around Arlen Faber, a reclusive author with a troubled past, who has lived a hermit-like existence since his spiritual self-help book, "Me and God", became a bestseller two decades ago.
One day, Elizabeth, a chiropractor who has been treating Arlen, asks him to sign her copy of the book. Arlen initially refuses, but eventually relents when he realizes that she is genuinely interested in his work.

Through this process, Kris meets and falls in love with Elizabeth, but remains unaware of her connection to Arlen.
As Arlen comes to terms with his past, he develops a relationship with Elizabeth and forms a friendship with Kris. The three must navigate their complicated personal lives, including their attempts to reconcile with their past mistakes.
