The Angriest Man in Brooklyn follows the life of Henry Altmann, a middle-aged and pessimistic man who is never content with anything in life. One day, he gets into an argument with Dr. Gillian, his physician. After Dr. Gillian tells him he only has 90 minutes left to live due to a brain aneurysm, Henry sets out to make amends with everyone he has ever hurt or wronged in his life.
During his journey, Henry visits his estranged wife Bette, his brother Aaron, and his son Tommy, whom he abandoned years ago. He also apologizes to his comically inept assistant, played by Louis C.K., who he repeatedly insults and berates.
As Henry races around Brooklyn, he encounters various obstacles on his path to redemption, including traffic, bike messengers, and even a convenience store robbery. Despite the setbacks, Henry perseveres and manages to bring closure to many of the relationships he has damaged.
