The Age of Blood takes place in ancient Korea in the year 1728. The protagonist, Kim Ho, is a highly skilled swordsman and a loyal guard of King Yeong-jo of the Joseon dynasty. However, due to a misunderstanding, he is demoted and sent to work as a lowly prison guard in Uigeumbu prison.
One fateful night, the prison is attacked by Do Man-cheol and his group of fearsome warriors. The goal of this attack is to rescue Lee In-jwa, a rebel leader who has been imprisoned and sentenced to death for leading an uprising against the king. In the midst of this chaos, Kim Ho finds himself caught up in the middle of the conflict.
Despite being outnumbered and outmatched, Kim Ho fights valiantly to defend the prison and prevent Lee In-jwa from escaping. However, he soon realizes that there are powerful forces at work behind the scenes, and that the true motivations of the rebels may not be what they seem.
As the night progresses and the stakes get higher, Kim Ho must use all of his martial arts skills and strategic thinking to survive and protect his honor. Along the way, he learns valuable lessons about loyalty, honor, and the true nature of power in the court of King Yeong-jo.
