The After Party follows Owen (played by Kyle Harvey), an up-and-coming rapper who dreams of making it big in the music industry. However, after a disastrous performance at a record label showcase, Owen goes viral for all the wrong reasons. He becomes a laughing stock on social media, and his chances of ever making it as a rapper seem to have disappeared.
But Owen's best friend and manager, Jeff (played by Harrison Holzer), refuses to give up on his dream and comes up with a plan to save Owen's career. Jeff convinces Owen to attend a wild party thrown by a famous rapper in the hopes of getting in front of music executives and other industry insiders.
As the night goes on and Owen navigates the party, he meets a variety of characters - from a potential new love interest to an egotistical rapper - that will change the course of his career and his life. With his future on the line, Owen must prove to the music industry that he's more than just a viral sensation and that he has real talent.
With a star-studded cast, including appearances by Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and Pusha T, The After Party is a comedic, yet heartwarming, story about chasing your dreams and never giving up hope.
