Eric, a successful businessman, returns home to his small town to visit his family for the first time in five years. He is eager to reconnect with his two sisters, Ava and Sarah, whom he has not seen since his father's funeral. However, Eric's plans to spend quality time with his family are quickly derailed when he runs into his old poker group, a group that he used to spend countless days and nights with as a teenager.
Despite his initial reluctance, Eric is drawn back into the world of poker, where he soon rediscovers his love for the game. However, as the nights go on and the stakes get higher, Eric finds himself getting more and more caught up in the competition and less and less interested in reconnecting with his sisters.
Still, Eric tries to keep up appearances, insisting to Ava and Sarah that he is just trying to have some fun while he's in town. But as the days pass, Eric realizes that he can no longer keep his double life a secret. His façade of adulthood begins to crumble as old childhood conflicts resurface, forcing him to confront his past and the choices he has made.
As tensions rise between Eric and his sisters, and he becomes more and more engrossed in the poker games, it becomes clear that this visit home is not going to be the relaxing vacation Eric had hoped for. In the end, Eric must find a way to reconcile his past and present selves, and learn to embrace the people he has become while still holding onto his roots.
