The 12th Suspect is a South Korean thriller film directed by Ko Myoung-sung and starring Kim Sang-kyung, Heo Sung-tae and Park Sun-young. The movie is set in 1953, immediately after the end of the Korean War, in a bustling teahouse located in Myeong-dong, Seoul.
The story revolves around a murder investigation in which the main suspect is a woman named Ji Won, who is both beautiful and enigmatic. The lead detective, played by Kim Sang-kyung, believes that one of the other 11 patrons who were present in the teahouse at the time of the murder could be the real killer.
As the investigation progresses, the detective engages in a psychological game of cat-and-mouse with the suspects, trying to uncover the truth behind the murder. Each of the suspects, who come from different walks of life, has their own secrets and motives, making the investigation all the more complex.
