Following the car accident, Brian wakes up in a hospital room with a mysterious nurse who tells him that Santa Claus has given him twelve chances to relive Christmas Eve and make things right with his loved ones. Each day, Brian wakes up on the same Christmas Eve but with the opportunity to change the course of events.
As Brian navigates through his chances, he struggles to repair his relationship with his teenage daughter Michelle, who resents him for prioritizing work over family. He also reconnects with his estranged brother, attempts to save a coworker's job, and helps a homeless man find shelter.
Throughout the twelve days, Brian learns the importance of selflessness, forgiveness, and putting family first. He also begins to appreciate the little things in life, such as a cup of hot cocoa and a cozy fire.
As the twelfth day comes to an end, Brian realizes that he has truly changed for the better and has a newfound appreciation for the love and relationships in his life. He wakes up on Christmas Day, grateful for his chance to make things right, and excited to start a new chapter in his life with his loved ones.
