Tell No One is a French suspense thriller film released in 2006, directed by Guillaume Canet, based on the novel of the same name by Harlan Coben. The film follows a pediatrician named Alexandre Beck (played by François Cluzet) whose wife Margot (played by Marie-Josée Croze) was brutally murdered eight years ago.
One day, Alexandre receives an anonymous email containing a video of his wife, alive and well, with a cryptic message ordering him to "tell no one." Despite being surrounded by local police, who reopen the case of her murder, Alexandre embarks on a desperate and dangerous hunt to find his wife, and clear himself of any involvement in her death.
As he investigates, he discovers that Margot may have been involved in something shady regarding a group of corrupt cops and a dangerous criminal underworld, who are determined to keep their secrets buried. Alexandre races against time to find his wife, while also trying to evade capture by the authorities who now consider him a suspect in her murder.
The film is a twisty, suspenseful thriller with complex characters and a gripping plot. It explores themes of love, loss, betrayal, and redemption, and features strong performances from its cast, including André Dussollier, Kristin Scott Thomas, François Berléand, and Jean Rochefort. The movie received critical acclaim and was a commercial success, earning numerous awards and nominations, including four Césars (French equivalent of Oscars).
