Team Marco is a heartwarming family comedy directed by Julio Vincent Gambuto. The movie follows the main protagonist Marco (Owen Vaccaro), a 12-year-old boy who is addicted to his iPad and rarely leaves the house. After the untimely death of his grandmother, his grandfather (Anthony Patellis) moves in with the family. Nonno is an old-school Italian man who loves to play bocce ball and drink homemade wine with his neighborhood friends.
Despite Marco's initial reluctance to join in, Nonno convinces him to come outside and try playing bocce ball, a favorite pastime of the older Italian men in the neighborhood. As Marco begins to connect with Nonno and his friends, he discovers the joy of human interaction and forms a bond with people older than him.
When Nonno and his friends challenge Marco to a game of bocce ball, Marco decides to create his own team of local kids to compete against his grandfather and his friends. With the help of his new friends, including a talented bocce ball player named Olivia (Anastasia Ganias), Marco learns to appreciate the value of teamwork and the importance of family.
As the competition heats up and tensions rise, Marco must learn to navigate the challenges of growing up and honor his family's traditions while finding his own identity.
