One day, Leonard learns of a scientist named Dr. Ivan Krank, who claims to have invented a machine that can turn animals into humans.

Determined to make Spot's dream a reality, Leonard, Spot, and his mom set off on a cross-country journey to find Dr. Krank. Along the way, they encounter a variety of obstacles, including a pack of vicious wolves and a number of wild and dangerous animals.

When they finally arrive at Dr. Krank's laboratory, they discover that he has already turned a number of animals into humans, but the results have been less than perfect.
