In the movie Target, Gene Hackman plays Chris Lloyd, a wealthy businessman living in Texas who has a mysterious past as a former government agent. His peaceful life is disrupted when his wife, played by Gayle Hunnicutt, is kidnapped by the KGB while they are on a vacation in France.
Chris decides to take matters into his own hands and travels to Europe with his reluctant son, played by Matt Dillon, to track down the kidnappers. As they investigate, they realize that there is more to the abduction than they initially thought and find themselves caught in a dangerous web of espionage and deception.
Along the way, they enlist the help of a former KGB agent, played by Anton Walbrook, who has his own reasons for wanting to take down his former colleagues. As they race against time to find Chris's wife, they must navigate through various European cities including Paris, Berlin, and Stockholm while also evading the efforts of the KGB to stop them.
